I have just spent a few weeks on the streets, mainly between Union Square and 75th and then walked to the airport through north Brooklyn in the night and I can confirm it was almost like walking through another city. Brooklyn reminded me of London zones 2 and 3 a lot, the delapidation and shabbiness with its dirty magic.
